At Croppers Garage we have over 40 years experience of performing MOT’s, with two MOT pits.
You must keep any vehicles driven on the road in a roadworthy condition. An MOT is an annual test of automobile safety, roadworthiness and exhaust emissions.
It isn’t the same as having your vehicle serviced and doesn’t check its general mechanical condition.
You must get an MOT test every year once your vehicle is 3 years old (or 1 year old in some cases).
You can’t drive your vehicle on the road if the MOT has expired. You could be prosecuted if caught. The only exception is if you’ve already booked an MOT and are driving your vehicle to the test centre.
It is important for you to find out when your car is due an MOT, please note that your cars insurance will not be valid unless you have an up to date MOT, nor will it be possible for you to apply for road tax if your MOT is out of date.
